What we do

One crew for your whole home's finish

From a single accent wall to a full exterior repaint, prep, paint and protect, all under one roof. Every service below carries the same quality promise.

Choosing right

Which finish goes where?

The question every homeowner googles at midnight. Here is the straight answer, the same one you’d hear from us in your hallway.

Flat / matte

Velvet walls, zero glare.

Where
Ceilings, bedrooms, low-traffic walls
Why
Hides patches, waves and old-house walls best

Scrubbing marks it. In hallways with kids, you’ll repaint sooner, pick it for looks, not wear.

Eggshell

The living-space default.

Where
Living rooms, dining, halls
Why
Soft sheen, wipeable, forgiving on walls

The safe answer for most rooms, which is exactly why we’ll say so instead of upselling.

Satin

Built for busy rooms.

Where
Kitchens, baths, kids’ rooms, laundry
Why
Stands up to steam, grease and scrubbing

More sheen shows more wall. If the drywall has history, prep matters twice here.

Semi-gloss

Trim’s best friend.

Where
Trim, doors, cabinets, window sash
Why
Hard, cleanable shell that frames every room

It highlights every dent and brush mark, on trim, the sanding is the job.

Unsure? Tell us the room and who lives in it, we’ll name the finish, and put it in the quote so you can check it.

Straight pricing

One number. In writing. It doesn’t move.

No hourly meter, no surprise line items, no “while we’re at it”. You approve one clear quote before a drop of paint goes up, so you know the cost up front.

Prep, premium paint and labor, one line, one price. Approved by you before anything starts.

Signed & guaranteed

The number lands in writing with a two-year workmanship warranty. If it isn’t right, we make it right.

The breakdown

What moves the number.

No mystery math. Four things decide what a paint job costs, and we walk every one with you before the quote lands.

Condition & prepPatching, sanding and priming take the time, paint takes the credit. Honest prep is most of the price.
Surface & heightSquare footage, ceiling height and how much furniture has to move.
Trim & detailCrisp lines around trim, windows and built-ins are hand work, and worth it.
TimingFlexible scheduling costs less. A hard deadline can be met, priced plainly.

Whatever the mix, you get one clear quote, in writing, before any work starts.

What a serious painting quote includes, ours or anyone’s:
  • Every room and surface listed, not “interior”
  • Prep spelled out: wash, scrape, sand, prime, caulk
  • Paint named: brand, line and sheen
  • Number of coats, stated
  • Floors & furniture protection, in the plan
  • Touch-up terms, in writing
The prep lines are where cheap quotes hide. If they’re missing, ask why, whoever wrote it.

Where we work

Proudly serving the Portland metro

A lot of our work comes from a neighbor who watched us paint the house next door. If you're in the metro, we're just around the corner.

Around here the enemy is nine months of sideways rain — the reason exteriors get washed, dried and primed properly, and why we watch the forecast harder than the clock.

How it goes

From first call to done.

No mystery in the middle. This is the path the job actually takes, start to finish.

01
The walkthroughday 1

A painter (not a salesperson) walks every room or the full exterior with you, measures the real square footage and checks the surfaces up close. You point out the problem spots, we talk color direction and note anything that needs prep before paint touches it.

02
Quote lands in writingwithin 48 hours

You get a clear quote by email that lists each surface, the exact products and sheens, how many coats and what prep is included. No hourly guessing and no line that changes later unless you change the scope.

03
Prep and product locked in1-2 weeks out

We confirm your start dates, order the paint in your chosen colors and drop off samples on your actual walls so you can see them in your own light. You sign off on final colors before we buy a single gallon.

04
We paint the jobday of the job

The crew covers your floors and furniture, patches and sands, tapes clean lines and lays down the coats in the agreed order. The same lead painter is on site every day and gives you a quick end-of-day update on where things stand.

05
Walkthrough and cleanupbefore we leave

We walk the finished job together in daylight, touch up anything you flag on the spot and pull all tape, drop cloths and debris out with us. You get the written workmanship warranty and the leftover labeled paint for future touch-ups.

Before you hire anyone

Five questions for every painter.

Including us. Two paint jobs can look identical on day one, these questions find out which one still looks painted in year eight.

01What exactly does “prep” mean on my quote?

The answer should list steps, wash, scrape, sand, prime, caulk. “Standard prep” is where two-year paint jobs are born.

02Which paint, which line, which sheen?

“Premium paint” is a mood, not a product. A pro names the brand, the line and the finish per surface, in writing.

03How many coats, and over what primer?

One coat over bare or glossy spots fails early. Listen for a number, and for when primer is and isn’t needed.

04Who is actually in my house?

The crew that quotes should be the crew that shows up, or you should hear who is, by name, before day one.

05What happens with weather and wet walls outside?

Paint over damp siding peels in a season. A pro talks moisture, temperature windows and rescheduling without being embarrassed.

Bring this list to the estimate. We’ll answer all five before you ask.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Getting started
Do you charge for estimates?+
No. Written estimates for interior, exterior, cabinet and commercial projects are always free, we visit, measure, talk through colors and finishes, and email you a clear, itemized quote with no obligation.
How soon can you start?+
Most estimates go out within a day, and typical projects are scheduled within one to two weeks. For urgent repaints, before a move, a sale or an event, just tell us the date and we'll do our best to fit you in.
What does “free estimates” mean?+
Before any work begins, we give you one clear quote to approve, prep, materials and labor included. No hourly meter, no surprise add-ons at the end. You always decide before we start.
How long will my project take?+
A typical bedroom is done in a day; a main floor takes two to three; a full exterior usually runs three to five depending on prep and weather. You get a schedule with your quote, and we actually keep it.
What should I do before the crew arrives?+
Very little. Take fragile items and wall art down if you can, and clear small things off surfaces. We handle the rest, moving and covering furniture, masking floors and fixtures, and putting everything back where it was.
Do I need to be home while you paint?+
Paint, color & finish
What paint brands do you use?+
Premium products only, Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore and PPG, matched to each surface for durability and washability. We're happy to work with a specific line or sheen if you already have a preference.
Which sheen goes where?+
Flat and matte hide surface flaws and suit ceilings and low-traffic walls. Eggshell and satin wipe clean, the workhorses for hallways, kitchens and kids' rooms. Semi-gloss handles trim, doors and cabinets and takes scrubbing. The rule: the shinier the paint, the tougher it is, and the more it shows what's underneath, which is why prep matters more as sheen goes up.
Can you help me choose colors?+
Absolutely. Our color consultation samples real paint on your walls, in your light, before you commit, and the color tool on this site lets you preview shades room by room. You never have to guess from a tiny chip.
Is the paint safe for kids and pets?+
Yes, we use low- and zero-VOC paints as standard, ventilate as we work, and most rooms are safe to sleep in the same night. Tell us about little ones or pets and we'll plan the order of rooms around them.
Can you match a color from a photo or an old wall?+
Yes. We can match an existing wall, a fabric, a tile or a photo, sampled and tested on your wall in real light before we commit a single roller to it.
Prep, durability & guarantee
What actually happens during prep?+
Good prep is most of the job: furniture covered, floors masked, nail holes filled, cracks caulked, glossy spots sanded so the new coat can grip, and stains sealed so they can't bleed through. Done right, the paint levels evenly and edges stay crisp for years. If a quote seems too fast or too cheap, prep is usually what got cut.
Why does exterior paint fail early?+
Paint rarely fails because of the paint, it fails because moisture was trapped underneath, chalky old coats were never washed off, or bare wood was left unprimed. The fix is boring and unbeatable: wash, scrape, sand, spot-prime, then paint in the right weather window. Skip a step and a fresh coat peels within a couple of seasons.
Is your work guaranteed?+
Yes. Every project carries a written two-year workmanship warranty. If a finish isn't right, we come back and make it right, no fine print, no runaround, backed by licensed, insured and careful crews.
Can you paint in cold or rainy weather?+
Interiors, any time of year. Exteriors need the right window, dry surfaces and the temperatures the coating is rated for, so we watch the forecast and schedule exterior coats when they'll actually cure properly instead of just getting them on the wall.
How long until the room is back to normal?+
Walls are dry to the touch in a couple of hours. We move your furniture back the same day and recommend giving freshly painted walls a couple of weeks to fully cure before scrubbing or hanging heavy art.
Is the Care Plan worth it?+
For most homes, yes: an annual inspection, free scuff and touch-up visits, priority scheduling, and 15% off future projects typically pay for the membership the first time you use it, and keep every finish looking new.
